प्रतिवर्ष की तरह है आज भी कार्तिक माह में सुनयना द्वारा मिट्टी के दिए की खरीदी की जानी थी ।
दीपक बेचने वाली बहुत बड़ा सा टोकरा अपने सर पर लिए हुए मोहल्ले में आई ।
आवाज लगाई दीपक ले लो। सुनयना को बाहर आता देखकर उसके चेहरे पर मुस्कान खिल गई।
उसे मालूम था कि आज फिर बाई कम से कम सात आठ सौ दीपक खरीदेगी।

सुनयना मेरी किरायेदार है ,सुनयना हर साल दीपावली पर बहुत सारे दीपक खरीदती है।
तो क्या इस बार कोरोना संकटकाल में सुनयना दीप खरीदेगी ?उत्सुकता वश मैं भी उसके पास आकर बैठ गई।
दीपक वाली दीपक गिनने लगी । पर यह क्या ? उसकी टोकरी में मात्र साढ़े तीन सौ दीपक ही थे ।
जल्दी से उन साढ़े तीन सौ दीपको को गिन कर फटाफट टोकरी खाली करके बड़े उत्साह के साथ उसने कहा कि बाई मैं अभी आती हूं ।
मेरा लड़का बाकी दीपक लिए हुए वहां खड़ा है उसे लेकर मैं अभी आती हूं।
सुनयना ने कहा कोई बात नहीं फिर दे देना बाकी दीपक। यह सुनते ही ठिठक पड़ी और बड़ी ही तेजी से उसने कहा-
नहीं! नहीं! मैं अभी लाती हूं। उसे लगा कि ऐसा ना हो कि बाई का विचार बदल जाए और दीपक ले ही न!
और बिना ही आवाज सुने तत्काल और दीपक लाने दौड़ पड़ी और बड़ी तेजी से बाकी दीपक भी ले आई ।
और पूछा बाई कितने दीपक दे दूं । सुनयना ने कहा तुम साढ़े आठ सौ दीपक निकाल दो।
वह बहुत खुश हुई और खूब आशीर्वाद देने लगी।वह आशीर्वाद देती जाती और दीपक को गिनती जाती।
उसके आशीर्वाद एक-एक दीपक में समाए हुए थे । हर एक दीपक उसके आशीर्वाद के तेल से भीगा हुआ था।
प्रत्येक दीपक उसकी मुस्कान की ज्योति में झिलमिलाता हुआ मुझे दिखाई पड़ रहा था।

दीपक गिनकर पूर्ण संतुष्टि के साथ उसने अपनी भारी-भरकम टोकरी को स्नेह के साथ खाली किया ।
और सुनयना को बड़े प्यार से निहारा जैसे कह रही हो कि आज तुमने मेरे घर दीपावली कर दी है।
सुनयना दीपक के पैसे लेने आई और पतिदेव से कहा कि साढ़े सात सौ रुपये दीपक के देने हैं।
पतिदेव सुनके चौक पड़े! यह क्या! इकट्ठे इतने दीप खरीदने की क्या जरूरत थी।
कुछ अभी खरीद लेती, कुछ बाद में खरीद लेती । कुछ सोच समझ कर खरीदी किया करो ।
लॉकडाउन का समय है सब बातें सोच समझकर खरीदी करनी चाहिए।
सुनयना के पति वकील थे, उनके हिसाब से सारी बातें तर्कयुक्त होने चाहिए।
सुनयना चुप रही। किंतु सुनयना व उसके पति की सारी बातें दीपक बेचने वाली ने सुन ली थी ।
वह बेचैन हो गई। वह बाहर टहलने लगी कि अब क्या होगा? कहीं दीपक वापस ना हो जाए!
सुनयना का दृढ़ निश्चय! Sunayna’s determination!
सोचकर चुप खड़ी थी। मैं भी सोच रही थी वकील साहब सुनयना की दीपक खरीदी से खुश तो नही होंगे।
इतने में ही सुनयना बाहर आई । एक प्रश्नवाचक मुद्रा में दीपक बेचने वाली और मैं भी सुनयना को देखने लगी!
सुनयना का आत्मविश्वास व दृढ़ निश्चय उसके चेहरे से झलक रहा था हालांकि मुझे कुछ समझ नही आ रहा था।
मैं सोच रही थी कि अब क्या होगा किंतु जैसे ही सुनयना ने उसे 750 रुपये हाथ में दिए उसके मुख से फिर आशीर्वाद की झड़ी बरसने लगी ।
मैं भी मन ही मन बहुत खुश हो गई ऐसे लगा मानो मुझे ही पैसे मिल गए हों ।
इतने आशीर्वाद तो शायद मैंने ईश्वर की प्रतिदिन आराधना से भी प्राप्त नही किए थे ,
जितने आशीर्वाद उस दीपक बेचने वाली ने सुनयना को दीपक खरीदने में दे दिए।
ऐसी दिवाली, ऐसे दीपक और इतना आशीर्वाद किसी देवता की पूजा से भी शायद प्राप्त ना हो ।

और शायद ऊपर बैठा ईश्वर भी उस दीप वाली के मुख से स्वयं आशीर्वाद दे रहा हो , ऐसा लग रहा था।
दीपक वाली चली गई तो मैने सुनयना से पूछा कि इतने दीपकों का क्या करोगी ?
सुनयना ने कहा ; सच्ची खुशियां, सच्ची दिवाली, सच्चे दीपक, और सच्चा दीपदान यही है। Sunayna said; This is true happiness, true Diwali, true lamp, and true lamp donation.
यह हमारी सनातन परंपरा को जीवित रखने वाला कार्य है !
जहां तक लॉकडाउन की स्थिति की बात है, तो क्या आपके घर में लॉकडाउन के रहते किराना आना कम हुआ ?
या राशन आपने बुलाना बंद कर दिया या आप लॉक डाउन के पहले यदि चार रोटी खाते थे तो क्या अब आप एक रोटी खाते हैं ?
यदि ऐसे अनिवार्य परिवर्तन आपके जीवन में नहीं हुए हैं !
तो फिर आप मात्र दीपक खरीदी करने के लिए अपने ईश्वर को मात्र एक दीप दान करने के लिए
लॉकडाउन जैसी विषम परिस्थिति को सामने रखकर के विचार करेंगे? यह सुनकर मैं भी सोच में पड़ गई !
यही प्रश्न मैं आपकी भावनाओं के साथ आप को समर्पित करती हूं?
सुनयना बहुत ही आवेश में थी शायद पति की दी नसीहत ” की लॉक डाउन में सोच समझकर खरीदी किया करो ।” उसे अच्छी नही लगी थी।
वह अपना सारा आवेश मुझ पर उड़ेल देना चाहती थी।
कहते हैं जब कोई आवेश में हो तो चुपचाप उसकी बातें सुन लेनी चाहिए जिससे उसका मन शांत हो जाता है।
अतः मैं चुपचाप अपने मित्र होने का कर्तव्य निभाते हुए उसकी बातें सुन रही थी।
सुनयना कह रही थी “कि दीपक जलाना थोड़ा कठिन काम है और झालर जलाना बड़ा आसान काम है ।
एक स्विच ऑन किया और रोशनी झिलमिला उठी।
वहीं दीपक जलाने में हमें सभी दियों में अलग-अलग तेल डालकर रोशनी करनी होती है।
मिट्टी के दीपक से हुई रोशनी व उसके लाभ! Light and benefits of clay lamps!
किंतु क्या आप इस रोशनी की वजह और उसके लाभ को समझ सकते हैं ।
पहला तो जहां एक स्विच ऑन करने से दीपावली की रोशनी हो रही है उस रोशनी से घर में पतंगे भी आते हैं।
और शॉर्ट सर्किट का भी डर होता है, इसके साथ ही बिजली का बिल भी बढ़ता है।
पहले तो लाइट खरीदने में , फिर सिर्फ जगमगाहट को जलाने में कुछलोग किराए पर भी झालर लाते हैं ।
,तो किराया भी लगता है। इस तरह से बहुत ही खर्चीला कार्य होता है।
और यह चाइना लाइट एक बार जलने के बाद दोबारा सही से चल पाए इसकी कोई गारंटी नहीं होती।
सुनयना चीन से भी बहुत नाराज थी क्योंकि कोरोना के कहर ने उसका बाहर निकलना जो बन्द करा दिया था।
अब वो पूरी तरह चीनी लाइट्स के विरोध में नजर आ रही थी। मैं बस चुपचाप उसकी बातें सुन रही थी।
और सोच रही थी कि एक सामान्य सी दिखने वाली गृहिणी जिसे मैं कुछ समय पहले दीपक खरीदी प्रकरण से थोड़ा सा नासमझ समझ रही थी,
वह सचमुच कितनी विचारवान थी। मुझे उसकी बातें सुनना अच्छा लग रहा था।
मेरी जिज्ञासा भी बढ़ती जा रही थी कि आखिर इतने सारे दियों का यह क्या उपयोग करेगी?
अतः मैं शांत भाव से अपनी जिज्ञासा को दबाए उसके धाराप्रवाह स्वर लहरियों में स्वयं को बहने से नही रोक पा रही थी।

आखिर मेरे प्रश्न का उत्तर देते हुए सुनयना कहने लगी चलो तुम्हे बताती हूँ कि मैं हर वर्ष इतने दीपकों का क्या करती हूं।?
अब वर्ष भर दीपदान के लिए पहले तो मैं दोनों समय दीपदान के हिसाब से 365 दिन के लिए 730 दीपक मिट्टी के खरीदती हूँ।
इसी प्रकार कम से कम 730 बत्तियां रुई की (गोल या लंबी) जो सुविधाजनक लगे वह खरीद लेती हूँ।
फिर आधा लीटर तिल्ली के तेल में संपूर्ण बत्तियां भिगोकर, दीपदान की सामग्री तैयार करती हूँ।
दीप दान की सामग्री का पूजन कर वर्ष भर के दीपदान का संकल्प लेकर ईश्वर को संपूर्ण दीप दान की सामग्री समर्पित कर देती हूँ।
ऐसा करने से अब ईश्वर स्वयं मुझसे उक्त समस्त दीपक प्रज्वलित करवा लेंगे।
और इस तरह वर्ष भर मेरे दीपदान में किसी भी प्रकार का कोई विघ्न उत्पन्न नहीं हो सकेगा।
संपूर्ण तैयारी के पश्चात प्रतिदिन मात्र दीपक में बत्ती निकाल कर ,दीप जलाना बहुत आसान हो जाता है।
सामग्री उपलब्ध होने से मेरा प्रतिदिन का दीपदान भी पूर्ण हो जाएगा ।
इसके अलावा मैं 11 दिए व तेल में डूबी 11 बत्तियाँ अपने कर्मचारियों को भी गिफ्ट देती हूं। यह भी तो दीपदान ही है।
यदि इस प्रकार हम सभी दीपदान का संकल्प लें तो न केवल ईश्वर की आराधना होगी बल्कि साथ-साथ आपके द्वारा एक पुण्य का कार्य अपने आप हो जाएगा ।
एकमात्र मिट्टी के दीपक से दीपदान किसी की खुशियों का कारण बन सकता है। Deep earthen lamps can lead to someone’s happiness with a single earthen lamp.
जिसके चलते किसी के घर में दिवाली मनेगी, खुशियां आएंगी।
सुनयना बहुत खुश थी, मैं भी बहुत प्रभावित हो गई थी उसकी बातें सुनकर।

जो चीजें आपको दिखाई नहीं देती उनके परिणाम बड़े ही दूरगामी और अनदेखे से होते हैं ।
यह कब कहां कैसे आ करके आपको सहायता पहुंचाते हैं, यह आप भी नहीं जान सकते।
इसीलिए दिवाली मनाए दीपों के साथ और फिर देखें दीपदान का फल।
मुझे सुनयना का प्रस्ताव बहुत ही अच्छा लगा और मन ही मन मैने भी प्रतिदिन दीपदान का संकल्प लिया।
आज मुझे दीपदान का असली रहस्य समझ आ गया था।
आप भी यदि सुनयना के दीपदान से सहमत हों तो अवश्य ही इस दीवाली में मिट्टी के दीपकों से अपने घरों को रोशन करें।
